I can’t believe I’m about to do this, but I’m giving a little shout out to tea’s friend coffee.
A study has been floating around in the news, and I thought it was worth sharing. New findings from Harvard published in The Journal of the National Cancer Institute has come out explaining that coffee lowers the chance of prostate cancer.
Basically, men who drink a lot of coffee may be better off. Coffee drinkers that drank 6+ cups of joe a day were at a 20 percent lower risk of developing prostate cancer than those that did not drink coffee. The heaviest drinkers were 60 percent less likely of getting a lethal form of prostate cancer.
See the New York Times article here for more information.
So… don’t feel so bad about those cups of coffee, but don’t forget that tea wards off cancer too! So try a cup of green tea as a replacement for one of your cups of coffee, and, hey, you may feel even better!
